M2 Metal Primer

The M2 metal primer’s purpose is to promote adhesion when printing on metals and other substrates. This two-component primer requires mixing part A—labeled as M2A—with part B—labeled as M2B. Additionally, the M2 metal primer, like all of Boston Industrial Solutions’ other metal adhesion promoters, is nontoxic and nonflammable.

To use the primer, mix parts A and B, and then spray it onto the metal surface. After spray coating, use heat or a flame to dry the primer.

This will help the primer to permanently bond to the metal surface. Once the primer is dry, print the part. The ink will permanently bond to the metal. Not only does the Natron M2 UV adhesion promoter bond to the material, but it also acts as an anchor for the inkjet ink to better adhere to the metal surface.

Once fully cured, the printed metal surface will withstand over 300 residential washes and up to 600 industrial washes.

Typical applications for this digital primer include coated metal tumblers, industrial applications, stainless steel drinkware, etc.

  • Promotes UV ink adhesion to metal
  • The product utilizes a 2-step spray-on process for better bonding (adhesion).
