TECH SPECS

Some of the 270 Series hard UV ink for Ricoh Gen 5 features include excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials compared to any other hard UV LED ink. Additionally, this UV ink for Toshiba C4 printheads has high opacity, high gloss, and exceptional abrasion resistance.

Because of this ink’s adhesion characteristics, you’ll pre-treat fewer materials.

Our UV jettable primers, like the JP254, work well on low-surface-energy materials. For example, the G1 UV inkjet primer is outstanding for glass, and the MD3 UV adhesion promoter is excellent for aluminum composite panels.

Applications

What is the difference between hard and soft UV ink?

The main differences between soft and hard UV inks are their post-cure characteristics and intended applications. Soft inks remain flexible and elastic, making them suitable for use on flexible or bendable substrates, while hard inks solidify into a rigid surface, making them ideal for rigid materials.

The 270 Series ink for Ricoh Gen 5 printhead is a hard ink compared to the Natron 160 Series ink which is a soft ink used in the same printheads.
