BX Series Pad Printing Ink

UNIVERSAL INK FOR PLASTIC, METAL, GLASS, RUBBER, TPE

BX Series is an all-purpose 1- or 2-component pad printing ink. This ink adheres to a wide range of materials, making it the best pad printing ink for most applications. This ink features high gloss, high opacity, and is simple to use.

Additionally, the BX Series ink from Boston has high resistance to abrasion, humidity, and weather elements. If you need one ink for most of your screen and pad printing applications, consider the BX ink line.

When used as a two-component ink, the BX series offers exceptional scratch and abrasion resistance. The i-300x hardener increases the ink’s ability to withstand sterilizing chemicals. Also, the high abrasion resistance characteristics make BX Series pad printing ink excellent for automotive parts printing and many other demanding applications. Learn how to mix this ink series.

The BX Series pad printing ink is available in 31 opaque colors. Of these colors, there are 12 ink mixing colors, 16 standard shades, and 2 metallic shades. All the shades are intermixable to create over 1600 PMS shades. Contact us or click here for the color formulation calculator.

Compliance and ink formulation

The BX series inks have a non-toxic classification. In addition, the BX series inks contain heavy metal-free pigments and exhibit fade resistance. These features make this ink perfect for printing on food containers, toys, gift materials, industrial products, and industrial power tools. This is an excellent ink for pad printing on pens, injection-molded parts, containers, medical devices, wood, and electrical housings. Lastly, check the safety data sheets and the product label for warnings.

  • Medical Grade Class VI Certified
  • HD prints

This silicone ink has medical Class VI certification and meets the requirements of the GLP Class VI Test (USP). It also meets the current FDA 21 CFR, Part 58 GLP technical requirements. This enables you to easily mark silicone components that operate under demanding conditions

TMF PRINTING SOLVENT

Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc.’s Natron series screen and pad printing inks pair well with TMF Ink Thinner. Adding thinner affects not only ink viscosity, flow properties, and how the ink releases from the pad, but also drying speed, packaging, and adhesion capabilities.

Type TMF solvent keeps the ink wet for a longer period of time and still allows for optimal ink adhesion.

To regulate ink viscosity, add 10–25% of TMF Thinner to the ink and stir until homogeneous.

TMG PAD PRINTING SOLVENT

TMG is a fast-evaporating solvent that enables this ink series to bond to hard-to-print plastic materials, such as TPE.

TS3 RETARDER SOLVENT

The TS3 Ink Retarder modifies the solvent evaporation rate in Marabu screen and pad print inks. TS3 has a good solubility and evaporation rate.

PP PRIMER (PRE-TREATMENT)

Use the polypropylene adhesive primer on difficult-to-bond low-surface-energy plastics, such as polypropylene and polyethylene. This adhesion promoter increases the plastic’s surface energy, which reduces surface tension and promotes a better bond.
