TNR printing ink retarder

TNR ink retarder is a slow thinner for use with Natron NxT, ST, and EK series screen and pad print inks from Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc.

An ink retarder slows down the rate at which screen printing inks dry. Therefore, when screen printing, use the ink retarder to keep the ink wet for an extended period, preventing it from drying on the screens.

When the TNR solvent is added to compatible fast drying pad printing ink solvents, it slows down the evaporation speed. Additionally, it lengthens the ink’s drying time.

How to use TNR ink retarder

Use this ink retarder solvent to control the ink’s viscosity and drying speed. To use this solvent, add 10–30% of TNR solvent to the ink and mix until it becomes uniform.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

During processing, silicone thinner, a silicone fluid or solvent, lowers the viscosity of silicone rubber products. Silicone thinner redices the ink-catalyst or silicone-catalyst mixture and helps it degas faster.
