UV CURABLE SCREEN PRINTING INK FOR GRAPHICS
UV screen printing ink for glass and metal—the Natron UVMK Series. This screen printing ink has excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials. Not only does this ink work well on metals and glass, but also tiles and ceramic materials. This UV-LED curable ink requires a 395nm wave length. It is possible to dry and cure the ink with both LED and UV light sources. After full cure, the ink film exhibits outstanding adhesion, as well as rub, scratch, weather, and chemical resistance.
The UVMK series ink for screen printing has 19 high-opacity colors, including metallic ones. All colors are intermixable to create new shades of color. Please see the UVMK color card for the available colors. You might also be interested in UV adhesion promoters.
UV LED curing has several advantages than heat and UV lamp curing. This ink series has faster printing speeds, increases uptime, consistent curing, and energy saving. Additionally, these inks help the equipment last long due to low maintenance. Lastly, the UVMK series is excellent for use on heat sensitive products.
Environmental benefits of this UV LED curable screen printing ink for metals and glass include Low-VOC ink, less energy consumption, and ozone-free LED–UV light.
Printing and Drying printed products
- Stir the ink well before use.
- Use a 230mesh – 350mesh count screens
- Dry the prints 395nm for LED inks with with 5000~8000w/cm2.
- If you need to reduce the viscoity of the ink, use up-to 10% of TRK Solvent.
- Lastly, for additional / better adhesion on glass materials, use heat at 300°F for 20 minutes.
*Test for adhesion 24 hours after printing.
