DC Series Silicone Ink

DC Series Silicone Ink

THE ONLY DUAL-CURE SILICONE INK:

HEAT OR AIR-CURED

The Natron® DC Series silicone ink is formulated with dual-cure technology for printing on silicone products with heat-sensitive elements. It is the only silicone ink available that can be heat- or air-cured.

This ink can be used for printing on silicone USB flash drives, plastic-bonded silicone products, or other heat-sensitive materials. We formulated this ink using our proprietary Dual Cure RTV Technology so the ink dries quickly with or without heat making it the perfect ink for products parts that cannot be exposed to heat.

The Natron ® DC Series ink is a 2-component ink that can be used for pad printing or screen printing. It has excellent opacity, flexibility, and a glossy finish. It is certified non-toxic and formulated with fade-resistant pigments that are free from heavy metals.

There are 14 standard colors. Additionally, we offer 24-hour turnaround custom color matching services for any color you request. To create new shades, you can mix any two or more colors to create over 1,600 PMS colors. Mixing the colors together does not affect the ink adhesion.

How to Mix DC Series silicone ink

To print your product, mix the Natron® DC silicone ink (A) with the catalyst (B), print and cure the product. For every 20 parts of the ink (A) add 1 part of the catalyst (B). Mix the ink and the catalyst together. Add 5 – 20% of the SF Solvent to alter viscosity, and print. Let the print air dry and cure at room temperature.

You can also accelerate drying and curing the ink by using heat. Heat the printed silicone product in an oven for 2 minutes at 200°F. (Safety caution! (Wait for the heated product to cool down before touching).

After full cure try to bend, scratch, or stretch the printed product. We guarantee that the print (ink) will not crack or rub off – the print becomes part of the product. This is the reason the SE series silicone ink is perfect for printing on silicone products.

Frequently Asked Questions

Natron® DC Series silicone ink is a 2-component silicone printing ink formulated for printing on silicone products with heat-sensitive components. It uses proprietary Dual Cure RTV Technology to cure with either heat or air, making it ideal for applications where traditional heat curing may not be suitable.

Natron® DC Series silicone ink is designed for silicone products with heat-sensitive elements, including silicone USB flash drives, plastic-bonded silicone products, and other heat-sensitive silicone materials.

Yes. One of the key benefits of Natron® DC Series silicone ink is its ability to air cure at room temperature. Heat can also be used to accelerate drying when faster production times are required. For accelerated curing, heat the printed ink at 200°F (93°C) for 2 minutes.

The Dual Cure RTV Technology developed by the technical team at Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc. makes both air-curing and heat-curing a possibility for this ink. The ink will dry and cure at room temperature, or the drying time can be accelerated with heat. This makes it an excellent ink for items with heat-sensitive components that would get damaged by a solely heat-curing ink.

Yes. Natron® DC Series silicone ink is formulated for both pad printing and screen printing applications.

Mix 1 part catalyst with every 20 parts ink. After combining the ink and catalyst, add 5–20% SF Solvent to adjust viscosity based on your application requirements.

Yes. The Natron® DC Series silicone ink provides excellent opacity and flexibility with a glossy finish, making it suitable for silicone products that require durable, high-quality printed graphics.

Yes. The Natron® DC Series silicone ink is certified non-toxic and formulated with fade-resistant pigments that are free from heavy metals.

Natron® DC Series silicone ink is available in 14 standard colors, with 24-hour custom color matching available for requested colors.

Yes. Multiple colors can be mixed to create more than 1,600 PMS color shades. Mixing colors does not negatively affect the ink’s adhesion to the substrate.
