SiliArt color filling ink for engraved silicone products

Boston Industrial Solutions, Inc. offers permanent color filling ink for engraved and debossed silicone products. The Siliart color ink is simple to apply on engraved, debossed, monogrammed silicone products.

The Siliart inks give a very great contrast, which makes them ideal for branding and personalizing silicone products. These inks are ideal for hobbyists and DIY artists. Siliart inks have excellent adhesion and rapid cross-linking onto silicone. Besides being ideal for ink filling, these inks are also ideal for spray painting applications.

COLORS

The Siliart ink series has over 40 standard colors, including metallic and neon colors. You can mix any two or more colors to create new colors. Mixing the colors together does not affect the ink adhesion. We also offer custom color matching services.

ADDITIVE PRODUCTS

The Natron® Siliart Series ink from Boston requires a catalyst to bond to rubber. Additionally, silicone thinner is necessary for changing the ink viscosity depending on the application. Here are the ink mixing instructions.

The Siliart color-filling inks are simple to work with.

Simply mix the ink with the catalyst and solvent and then ink your product. It is that easy! For this application, use the LG catalyst and the SF solvent. The general mixing ratio by weight is 10:1:10 (10 parts ink to 1 part catalyst to 10 parts solvent).

Always mix the catalyst with the ink first and then add the solvent.

For spray painting applications, increase the solvent to 300-500% of the ink’s weight.

Drying products

The Siliart Series is a slow-drying silicone-based ink. The ink filling will not air dry at room temperature. Therefore, we recommend using heat to dry the ink.

After colorfilling the debossed part, let it sit for 6-24 hrs before heating the product. This wait time will remove any bubbles that might have formed during the ink mixing process. You can also use a degassing chamber to remove any air bubbles in the ink.

Observe caution before touching hot items. Allow heated products to cool down before touching them.
